The Kaiser Visual Art Center

Built in 1928 as the Academy's "stone garage," the building was completely renovated in 1985 to create a center for visual arts on campus, with the addition of a state-of-the-art kiln room for ceramics in 2004.  The building features:

...Photography classroom with Macs running the Adobe Creative Suite, and fully-equipped darkroom

 

...Digital video editing lab with Macs running FinalCut Pro

 

...Ceramics studio with:

12 electric wheels,

2 extruders,

spray booth,

Saggar firing and pit firing capabilities,

40 sq. ft. gas-fired kiln for reduction firings,

Raku kiln, and

2 electric kilns.
